Be Able to Throw Down a Good Dunk
I love to play basketball and dunking is something all players want to be able to do. Starting off I can already dunk, but I can barely dunk off the dribble, it's not very consistant. Each week I want to get more consistant, until I can eventually dunk with no problem. To do this I will have to have around a 40 inch vertical, I already have one around 36 inches, so it shouldn't be that bad. People keep telling me that I just need to grow a little bit more, but I don't feel like waiting for that. I will go outside and do different jumping exercises, I will put those on the progress page. This is a goal that I already had, so it fit in perfectly with this.
5 reps, BB Bicep Curl, 95 pounds
One of the things that I like to do most is lift. Since we've been locked down, or even before that, I lift almost everyday. So when I found that I could use sport goals, I figured I could use my lock down time to get myself in amazing shape, so this immediately came to mind. I find that with lifting, my biceps are the muscle that shows the most growth in my upper body. It will be the most realistic goal to push with what I can do outside the gym. Starting off I can do 2 good reps with 95 pounds. It's hard, so each week I will need to push the limits while lifting. Like I said before, I lift almost everyday, so this won't be hard to get myself to motivate. I want to be able to do 5 solid bb (barbell) bicep curls with 95 pounds.
Improving my Mile Time
I've already been getting up at 5:30 in the morning to go run. I did indoor track in the winter, and I was doing outdoor, but the season is now over and I still want to get faster. Now mixing in with my 4 mile morning runs, twice a week I'm going to start doing track workouts. Each week I'm going to run a time trial (A time trial is just a timed event) to see if I'm making progress. I'm starting off already beating my original goal of getting down close to 5 minutes, I ran a 4:54. So now this took some extra time to figure out what would be achievable, and I have decided to get it down to 4:50.
